TG4 1916

As part of the centinary of 1916 TG4 are to reshow their award winning series of documentaries Seachtar na Casca and Seachtar na Dearmadta. The first examines the lives of the seven signatures of the proclamation and how these men gave up their lives for Irish Independence.  The second examines the lives of the 'forgotten seven who were also executed after 1916 but are not commemorated in the way the signatories have been.

Our main was meant to be thought provoking showing that the signatories were not normal soldiers but rather  a group of teachers, poets, shop keepers and so on. As the seven party series unfolded and focused on different characters we ran a series of spots in press. The first spot would established the character by name and occupation and then when they turned the page we would show them executed in their civilian dress.
